In Filetopia, there are several ways to enter a room.  


  • Double-clicking on a  room in the room browser 
  • Highlight a room in the room browser and click join in the upper right-hand portion of the window
  • To join a room from a chat room you are already in, simply type /join (or /j) followed by the name of the room and it will open automatically. Example-- /join Betacity
  • If you are a in a chat room and someone pastes a link to another room, simply clicking it will open that room for you
  • To access a room stored in the favorites, open the favorites list, then click on the room you wish to join then click on join.
  • In a secure private user-hosted room, pasting the room key will give you the option to enter the room immediately
  • If you are a room owner or admin, all your rooms will be listed on the My Rooms page. To join one or all, simply double-click the room you wish to enter.
  • From the Rooms browser you can also press the right mouse button and select Join in the context menu.
  • You may also accept and Invitation to join a room sent from another user
  • Or enter a help room from the Help menu.
