When the number of windows open starts to get really high, it is usually not enough to have them grouped by window type.  You want certain important windows (for example, the rooms that you manage) to be right on top and very visible.   Or perhaps you want to group together all the rooms you seldom visit so that you can hide them all at once. Window groups will help you accomplish both of these tasks.

To help you get started, one group is created by default: Important,   you may delete this and/or create any other groups that you want.

To create a new window group:

  • From the Actions top menu you may select Add Group
  • Or you may select any window or windows and from the context menu select: Assign to group->New group

To assign a window to a group you may select the room and right click: Assign to group->Group name

Similarly you will be able to remove any group assignment this way: Assign to group->No group

A window can only be assigned to one group at a time.

To delete an existing group:  select it and within the Actions button choose: Remove group

Another advanced possibility is to open all windows that belong to a certain group.  From the Actions menu you can select:  Open all windows in group.

Remember that a group can contain windows of any type mixed together.
